The  Iraqi American Endowment Center (IAEC) Strategies, Planning & Progress

IAEC is a nonprofit  Michigan-based  Iraqi American  organization.

Michigan has the largest congregation of Iraqi American community members of Arabs, Chaldeans, Assyrians, Kurds, Armenians, Syriacs, Mandians, Turkamans, and others.

Building community bridges between all the segments of the Iraqi community, irrespective of their ethnicity, heritage, race or political affiliations in USA.

Building national bridges and dialogue with other Middle East and non-Middle East communities in USA.

Support and strengthen international relationship between the Iraqi American community and the Iraqi expatriate communities abroad with a special emphasis on the people of Iraq.

The Post War Iraq

The function  of the government in any country is to preserve and to protect the cultural heritage from the past and to provide secure  future for its people and especially  the young new generations.

The multitude  of ethnic and religious groups should pool together  their respective leadership resources and reach  out for assistance from the Diaspora.

New Iraqi Constitution should be based  on the specifics  of Iraq and multiethnic civil society and State of equal citizen. The Constitution  should guarantee equal rights  for all Iraqis  regardless of their country of residence  at this time, including  the right to vote (absentee ballot) for the Diaspora.


 Vision

To bring together the Iraqi American communities of various ethnic, religious and political groups in harmony. Iraq and Iraqi people with their ancient civilization, rich in culture and heritage should enjoy democracy, liberty, equality, and freedom of religion.

 

   Mission

IAEC will focus the potentialities of the large Iraqi and Middle East Diasporas as an important factor in the rebuilding process of Iraq’s stability, infrastructure, economy and return of confidence among the people of Iraq.

 


   Think Tank Platform

To create an Iraqi-American think tank source of specialists and speakers in the fields of politics, government, education, heritage and commerce, to act as a source of information to various governmental and nongovernmental organizations at the federal, state, and local levels; to educate and promote issues related to Iraq and the Iraqi people.

Public Relations Committee

 

1. Press releases to the American media for events related to Iraq

2. Organize town hall meetings to discuss issues related to Iraq

3. Organize seminars to discuss issues related to Iraq and the Iraqi-American relationships

4. To promote the culture, heritage, and diversity of the Iraqi people to the American public at large

 

Commerce, Economic, & Strategic Planning
 

1. To promote commerce and business between Iraq and America

2. To develop a center of resources to assist the Iraqi business community (e.g.   “yellow pages”)

3. To assist the Iraqi business community with specialists in their respective fields of business 

4. To develop the Iraqi-American liaison commerce committee

5. To introduce Iraqi business community to other American commercial   organizations

 

    Medical & Humanitarian Committee

 

 1. To promote and sponsor distinguished Iraqi scientists and physicians in the fields  of medical science and allied health to visit USA, to advance their knowledge in the fields of medical science and its allied branches

2. To enhance medicine and its allied health branches in Iraq through educational programs and scientific exchange throughout medical universities and hospitals

3. To promote health education in Iraq through sponsorship of seminars and educational visitations of medical delegates to Iraq 

4. To sponsor speakers, grants, scholarships, medical books, journals and other materials to needy medical schools in Iraq

5. To sponsor patients for medical and surgical treatments to USA where that treatment is not available in Iraq

6. Humanitarian and medical relief to the needy people of Iraq
