NEY YORK BASED “POMNI” is preparing to file its LOW SUITS IN NEW YORK, PARIS,BRUSSELS, HAG and STRAZBOUR : POMNI & The Macedonians vs. NATO, UN, EU& all.

The New York based “POMNI”, Non profit organization of the Macedonian Diaspora, is preparing to file multiple law suits against not only NATO, EU, UN, but against individuals responsible for breaches of the international agreements and Resolutions, that ultimately resulted in deaths and suffering of the Macedonians, and the destruction of the country once known as the oasis of the Peace in the Balkans (prior to NATO’s involvement in the Balkans).

In brief, NATO needed to use Macedonia as the “entrance to the Yugoslavian theater of operations” for its bombings and invasion of Yugoslavia. In other words NATO needed Macedonia to play the role of Okinawa in the Balkan.

The set of guarantees for safety and security of Macedonia, stability and territorial integrity given to Macedonia, prior to NATO’s involvement in Kosovo, melted away with the non-fulfillment of the UN Resolution 1244, and allowing once terrorist KLA (UCK,ONA,ANA…) along with the restructured KPK (KZK), while even on UN payroll, “in joint venture” to execute a textbook terrorist invasion of Macedonian territory in front of the entire KFOR and even U.S.’s Bond Still in Kosovo.

This has resulted in unprecedented acts of ethnic cleansing and genocide of the Macedonians inside of there own country, displacement of 120,000 Macedonians, deaths, disability, destruction of the peace and stability of the country of Macedonia.

The Albanian terrorists were trained, helped and coordinated by structures belonging to, contracted by or close to NATO, and worse were not stopped in there actions and were not prevented from crossing the border from UN and KFOR controlled Kosovo in to Macedonia (to carry there evil criminal mission) in clear violation of the mandate under the Resolution 1244.

On another hand NATO’s frivolous and not serious behavior and breaches of its obligations according to the SOFA[1]( Status of Forces Agreement), agreement signed back in 1996 (as well as other related to this matter agreements) resulted in severe loses on the side of Macedonia, its people and in irreparable damage to the peace and stability in the Balkan region.

That was long and hard destiny, with long lasting consequences for its future. Up until WW II, Okinawa was peaceful island, without any military presence, even without Japan’s army presence.[2] And we all know what happened to Okinawa since then. We all remember Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and we all know what happened after and what is Okinawa today. But we only hear about Okinawa when U.S. soldier rapes young Japanese girl?!?!

POMNI, according to its mandate and mission, is taking a stand to defend the Macedonian interests and to ask for punishment of those responsible for the crisis, and for fair and just compensation of the Republic of Macedonia and the Macedonians for all they have suffered, for all the pain, losses, and for the damages to there historic ancestral cultural heritage and Christian values, to there personal pain and suffering, losses of family members, for the loss of peace and stability of there country, and the region.

The legitimate question arises: How much did the Kosovo war from 1999, and the NATO presence in Kosovo and Macedonia contribute to the origination of the war in Macedonia in the year 2001? What is the advantage of the police forces vs. army forces when there is question as to the security and safety of Macedonia in the environment of globalization of the human rights and other values?[3]

Macedonia should be learning from other countries, especially those with long standing negative experience of foreign army troops. And the other way around, other countries can learn from the experiences of Macedonia, even tough it is a small country.[4]

One of the leaders of the Macedonian Diaspora Prof. Nestor Oginar said:” Macedonia, in order to save itself, has to save the World”.[5] The world has to help Macedonia, but the other way around to.

Inspired by Prof.Oginar’s speech ( followed by standing ovations of the crowd of 1,500 participants of the conference), Washington based journalist and critic of the global militarism Umberto Pascalli, is of the opinion that Macedonia, even tough is a small country can help the World:” If you get out of the scheme that you are only a small country that has no major significance, if you resist [the invasion], that means not only militarily, but in all areas, including on the international plan, you have a chance to save your country. And not only that. All the eyes of a much wider auditorium are focused at you right now. If you successfully resist, you will be something that in this moment is stopping this new colonialist machine. You may be the Stalingrad of the ‘Third Warld War’ that is in progress”[6]

The problems of the Macedonian country are also international problems. Macedonia will not be Okinawa, if the Macedonian relies strongly on his own forces and if he feels as the citizen of the World.[7]

Macedonians worldwide expect this lawsuit as a sign that there is a justice after all. Thay say:

...“If Jews could sue Germany and German companies so many years lather, why not Macedonians getting the satisfaction in the court of law?” ,...“We will show that NATO,EU,UN,… no one is above the law”,..."NATO may be welcomed in Macedonia, but it is not above the law... NATO soldiers are behaving like occupiers, they disobey the traffic and other laws of Macedonia... like if they were above the law..."

The SOFA Agreement

[4] Kazuo Ota, Professor of political sciences and the Dean of the Faculty for Ecological System in Ebetzu (Hokkaido) Japan, visited Macedonia from 9-13 September 2001, with a goal to directly participate in the discussion about the “Ohrid Framework Agreement”. He participated in the working session of the experts round table “ The Framework Agreement and the future of Macedonia” on September 10,2001 in Skopje, in organization of the Democratic Alliance of Macedonia. His visit to Macedonia coincides with 9-11 terrorists attack on U.S., and with September 12, 2001 large (36,000 strong ) peaceful protest against the terrorism in the world and for peace in Macedonia, organized by the Macedonian Diaspora. Among other organizers were Prof.Nestor Oginar and Dr.Stojadin B.Naumovski, who due to the 9-11 event did not arrive to Skopje in time for the protest that was held on the main square in Skopje, Macedonia.
